Powerflex Motor Mount Bushing kit Lancer Evolution #16692

We installed this bushing onto a '05 GSR with numerous other modifications already installed, but we noticed an immediate improvement in shifter feel and on/off throttle vehicle response due to significantly reduced front-to-back movement of the engine under on/off throttle conditions.The car seems to "buck" less under light throttle cruising (in a parking lot), and we noticed much less engine movement during the disengagement of the clutch under light throttle.There is a very slight amount of increased vibration at idle only, which is to be expected, however, I must stress that this additional vibration is only felt through the steering wheel to the driver and passengers would never know that you changed anything if you didn't tell them what you did.This bushing is made from a 75-80 durometer (I forget which exactly) polyurethane where the OEM rubber bushing is rated at about a 45-50 durometer rubber material (much softer) and the Powerflex kit comes supplied with a specific stainless steel sleeve and a packet of copper grease/anti-seize.It is a direct replacement for the soft OEM front mount bushing and fits with absolutely no modification. Installation took us about 20 minutes. The most difficult part is removing the factory bushing from the mount. We basically had to destroy it to get it out, but once accomplished, the Powerflex bushing fits in easily.This vibration is so minor that I would hardly consider mentioning it if I didn't know that many of you would ask. It is also to be expected that this initial increase in vibration will go away after a short period of time (a couple weeks) once the bushing settles in. This has been the case with every single Powerflex product we have ever used or sold as we sell their bushings for other applications as well.
